An unfortunate car accident left Rasul a paraplegic, with no movement or sensation below his waist. Prior to his accident, Rasul was a student preparing to enter law school. He was a professional wrestler as well as tennis enthusiast who maintained an active lifestyle. After his injury, he participated in the Paralympics, placing third in the shot put.

These days, his passion lies in cinematography. Rasul hopes to complete his school studies and pursue a career in the area of cinematography.

Getting Back Up is proud to support Rasul with an exercise-based therapy scholarship to Project Walk, as well as funding towards a Karman wheelchair.
